Aristotle argues, "on opposite sides of an question¡Kin order that we may see clearly what the facts are, and that if another [advocate] argues unfairly we on our part may be able to confute him" (Herrick, 76). It is not necessary to present both side of an argument but to help construct refutes to the opposing argument.
