Firat Erdogan Book review Date: 2001 Title: managing people Author Jane Weigtman Publishers: CIPD Where published: the Cromwell press, Wiltshire The book I have chosen to review is called ‘managing people’ by Jane Weightman. ... The subject of this book as defined by the title is about how to manage people in organisations. The purpose of the book is to inform and teach the reader how to manage in a large organisation, whether it is to motivate or lead as a manager. The aimed audience of this book is for people who are either seeking to qualify through collage based study or flexible learning and upward. The book answers the problems of the audience by relating case studies with theories and using relevant issues such as in part 1; looks at the ways of understanding people, so it is a suitable book for anyone who is interested in management of people.
