Smoking tobacco is a serious problem in United States. Wherever one goes here is someone, somewhere standing in the corner smoking a cigarette. It is government’s duty to protect our health by putting a ban to cigarettes. People should be fined if caught smoking. Special healthcare programs should be offered free of charge to people who need helps with smoking habits. The prices on cigarettes should be highly raised. Cigarettes are disgusting, unappealing and unhealthy. Smoking a cigarette is very hazardous to ones health. Sally Chen explains that, “It’s an addictive drug that not only harms the user but everyone else through secondary smoke (140).
