If in most cases people try to make money in order to become rich and powerful, for Gatsby there was only one goal – to make the girl he fell in love with, Daisy, to finally return to him and love him back. ... He finally becomes very rich and builds this wonderful, great house, just in order to be closer to the loved one. ... Actually, although the movie concentrates on the life of Great Gatsby, it shows us more the society of that time. ... Yes, Gatsby was from a society of workers, but nevertheless he was able to rise till the top of social structure.
