17th Century Archetecture

Throughout history, various time periods have been distinguished by the architecture produced, which is evident in the unique designs of houses, churches and civic buildings constructed. There are many key features of a house that give away its architectural style, including the construction material, floor plans, and chimney. During the 17th century, the Puritans of New England and the Massachusetts Bay Colony developed Colonial architecture, a very distinctive style, which is very recognizable when compared to the modern styles of today. One distinguishing feature about Colonial styles was the building material.
