An essay is a paper that is written to argue, or to explain steps. It consisted of a thesis statement, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. The first thing you need is a topic. Either you have chosen one, or were assigned one. First, you need a topic. After you’ve been assigned a topic, or have chosen a topic, you can then proceed to write the essay. The thesis statement tells the person whom is reading the paper, what the essay is all about, and the point you, as in the author, will be making ( I was told that I was “comma happy” by my last teacher). You must look back on what you researched on the topic, and then make one good thesis statement. In the body of the essay, all the work up to this point comes to use. The topic is now scattered all over the body paragraphs. Explain it, describe it, or argue it. Each body paragraph will have the same basic structure. First you wrote you’re thesis, and then you elaborate. And finally, the conclusion. The conclusion brings a closure to the reader, pretty much reviewing your whole essay (briefly), or you can give a final perspective on your topic. There is no really order or rule on how to write the conclusion, just as long as it reviews the essay, or gives a final view.
