Review of the movie, “A Walk to Remember” I will be discussing many things about the movie, “A Walk to Remember” within this paper. I’ll basically be talking about where and when the story took place. I’ll be talking about the events in the story. I will discuss the main characters in the story, basically describing the role each character played. I will also discuss the conflict and resolution in the movie. And also about the interesting aspects of the work according to the critics, for example special effects, character portrayal, and climax. About what the critics liked and disliked about the movie and what I liked and disliked about the movie. This romance story takes place in Beaufort High, in the little port town of Beaufort, North Carolina. In an era in which teen films become a genre unto themselves, “A Walk to Remember” stands apart. More than a teenage romance, it is a love story between two people who just happen to be high school seniors. Landon and Jamie would likely mot have given each other more than a passing glance as they moved through the halls and classes of Beaufort High. They might never have met if it hadn’t been for that one night and a prank gone wrong. It was a terrible night. Landon and his pals dared a naďve new classmate to take a dive into a murky pool at the local cement factory as an initiation into their clique. The boy was eager to please. By the time they realized the pool was not empty but full of broken and rusty pipes, it was too late. He made the jump then floated back up with a bloody wound. Panicking, the kids took off with a rush of screeching tires—all except Landon, who lingered a moment to reassure the terrified diver and, consequently, was the only one caught.
