No, because Buddhism is claimed to be a religion and Buddhists do not believe in God. So perhaps religion is to believe in any supernatural deity. ... Perhaps it is best to say that religion is a form of inner spiritual peace of which we each choose to act and think by as much or as little as we please in conjunction with our lives. But religion does not always bring peace. ... So for the sake of this argument I shall define religion as the act of a mixture or expression of faith and following your chosen path of spiritual fulfillment incorporated with each and every persons own daily life/lifestyle. And what about purpose? ... For something to have purpose it must: A- Fill a void or complete a task on an emotional level B- Fill a void or complete a task on a mental level C- Fill a void or complete a task on a physical level; and of course D- Fill a void or complete a task on a spiritual level.
