The Resurrection of Christ The resurrection of Christ is the one act that sets Christianity apart from any other religion. Rising from the dead, and defeating the grave is what Christ did to save us from our sins. After the crucifixion of Christ, He was taken to a tomb, and after three days, the body was gone. Many people say that his body was stolen from the tomb, to give the false appearance that he rose. His body being stolen is very unlikely almost impossible. There were roman elite guards guarding the tomb, and there was a huge stone in front of the entrance. If the followers of Christ were to somehow get past the guard, they would still have to face the huge rock. This rock was so believed to be so massive, that it took the whole roman guard that was protecting it to move it a small amount of space. Yet another explanation for the resurrection of Christ is that he was never actually dead. This statement is absurd. Crucifixion starts out with a beating with a cat of nine tails; this weapon is a whip with glass and rocks stuck in it. Being whipped with this literally tore your skin off whip by whip. Through out all this torture you are being starved, and brutally beaten.
