aaaaaaaaaaaIntroduction: The model of Five Competitive Force was developed by Michael E. Porter in his book “Competitive Strategy: Techniques for Analysing Industry and Competitors” in 1980. Since that time it has become an important tool for analysing an organisation industry structure in strategic process. Porter’s model is based on the insight that a corporate strategy should meet the opportunities and threat in the organisation external environment. Especially, competitive strategy should base on and understand of industry structure and the way they change, ‘…these five forces are as follows: · The threat of new entrants into the industry · The bargaining power of customers · The bargaining power of supplier · The intensity of the rivalry among firms within the industry · The potential for substitute product and services Porter’s five forces model is one of the most effective and enduring conceptual framework used to assess the nature of the competitive environment and to describe an industries structure’ (Pitts, Lei: 43).
