ABSTRACT: The data that will be read deals with Mendel genetics. George Mendel’s work was about genetic inheritance and was discovered over a century before the structure of DNA was known. Mendel carried out extensive research on plant breeding experiments. His work was rediscovered in 1900 and in recognition of his accomplishments; the science of genetic inheritance is called Mendel genetics. Eye color has always been a fascinating phenotype in the human race. Most people love their eyes but do not have a clear understanding of how they were inherited. The eye color inherited is often like a tossing of a coin. The objective of this project is to determine the eye colors dominant and recessive traits and the pattern of inheritance by identifying the genotypes of each individual from the phenotype of three families. HYPOTHESIS: Eye color is determined from your parents genotypes.
