In the beginning Chapter we meet Jerry Cruncher’s son who is also named Jerry. Young Jerry is with his father at Tellson’s Bank on his messenger jobs. We read that Mrs. Cruncher prays for her husband and ends getting a beating for it whenever it happens. Young Jerry tattles on his mother a lot for praying, he also notices the rust on his dads hands . Chapter two is the trial of Charles Darney. They declare him innocent after the long trial ends. Chapter four is in a bar where Carton invites Darney to a drink.
