A few days ago, a boy who attended my previous school killed himself because of the on going bullying. I¡¯ve often heard in the news about teenagers who committed suicide because of bullying, but I was very shocked when I realized one of those victims used to be a fellow classmate. This event made me realize the seriousness of the bullying, and became an incentive to choose my research topic of bullying in schools. My investigation will cover following areas on: the types of bullying, main causes and effects, and what actions are being taken to solve the problem. According to ¡®Bully Online¡¯, it is estimated that as many as 50% of all children in schools experience some form of bullying during their school years.
