... Ethical statements are like a set of rules that have been set for the human race to follow, for example the 10 commandments left by God and published in the Bible.
The scholars who say that ethical statements are no more than expressions of opinions are simple people, they are those who dare to ask the questions and try to find an answer. ...
Apart from scholars asking these questions they also offer a range of ways of how we can evaluate peoples moral behaviour depending on the situation.
Many of the ethical statements that are asked or said revolve around a certain type of ethics this being Meta-Ethics. This originates from a branch of moral philosophers who looked at the use in language when asking moral questions like what is meant when we name something ‘good‘ or ‘wrong’
When using or stating an ethical statement there is a degree of ethical language and theory used which is brought in from past conversations and experiences, this can sometimes strengthen the statement or make it harder to understand.
