Throughout this book, J Feldstein demonstrates the value of power economic analysis has and at the same time; help understand issues related to the politics and economics of health services. In order to solve policy problems, Feldstein believes the market forces should be allowed free rein. This book provides and excellent starting point for an introductory class in health economics. Subjects include managed care competition and legislation, barriers to and benefits of integration, financing long-term care, the role of government in medical care, and national health insurance. ...
