In the story “The Glass Menagerie”, Tennessee Williams writes that a true man by nature is “a hunter, a lover, and a fighter.” In the story “A Day’s Wait,” there is one character that, in my opinion, is a true man. He has all the qualities. This is why. The character I chose is the boy’s father. I believe he posses all those qualities Williams said makes a true man. He is a lover. When his son came down sick in the morning, he immediately asked what was wrong and told him to lie down so he would feel better.
