VALUE OF EGYPTIAN ART Egyptian art is one of the most significant periods in art history. Their modern advances were made unknowingly and helped to shape art to what it is today. Many people don’t realize how amazing the Egyptian art really is just by looking at it. You have to dig deeper to see what value Egyptian art has on us today. “Artist in ancient Egypt were not concerned with representing the world realistically…” They weren’t trying to create art. ... It was through that strong religious belief that the ancient Egyptians artists helped make key artistic advancements in the world of art. ... Sculptures were one of the first advancements the Egyptians made in the field of art. ... Unlike many statues we see today, “ancient Egyptian statues were not intended to serve as realistic portraits. ... Egyptian sculptures had a very strict format as to how it should be represented in 3D. ... Some of the most important characteristic of Egyptian art is its extreme clarity. “The Egyptian artist does not seek after light and shade or delicate nuances of expression; his is a classical prose, not a poetic style. ... Even without all the shading and special techniques, the Egyptian artwork is beautiful. ...
