Nietzsche suggests that the slave revolt in morality begins with ressentiment, or resentment. Slave morality is in essence negative because it is developed out of hatred and denial, and is reactive against everything that is different from it. ... The nobles, on the other hand, concerned themselves very little with what is outside of master morality and this is why they were generally happier than the unhappy and resentful plebeians.
