My name is Keith Lard I was born October 8, 1976 in Chicago, Illinois. I moved to Mississippi in 1989 where I attended Vaiden High School. Mississippi was very different than I had imagine we lived in a small rural town on a country road about 1 1/2 mile from the highway. I played basketball as a pass time after school I really enjoyed the game. I eventually played and started for my high school team. My senior year I was offered a 2 year scholarship for basketball at Holmes Community College, in Goodman Mississippi, but I did not accept it because I had already signed with the Navy. After graduating from Vaiden in may of 1996 I joined the United States Navy. I was assigned to Great Lakes, Illinois for 8 weeks of military training.
