There has always been a tendency by Arab students to learn English as a second language. ... Studying English is a big challenge for most of the Arab students. From my experience, I remember how English courses were like nightmares for the majority of students in high school. ... In this paper, I am going to try to analyze some of the difficulties that Arab students face when learning English as a second language. I will focus in my study on the most common difficulties in grammar and structure that mostly intermediate students have. At the end, I am going to suggest some ways to help Arab ESL students overcome these difficulties.
