"In The Gloaming" In this movie I noticed a lot of different types of relationships and communication. This movie is about a son, Danny, who is sick and coming home to die. You also see all of the relationships of the family and how they communicate with one another. In the beginning I thought the mother seemed more like she was in denial and didn't want to accept the situation but as the movie went on, the mother was more like the only one that Danny could open up to and she was very understanding and accepting of her son's thoughts, feelings, and wishes. She was never fake with him and never tried to change the subject when talking about him dying or his lifestyle. They seemed to have a storgic relationship and interpersonal trust. They talked about everything and had a very open relationship. They held nothing back. It seemed to me that they were very close and loved each other a lot. Also when talking about his childhood, Danny seemed to have wonderful memories of his mother, like how she sang to him and told him about "In the Gloaming". They enjoyed spending time with one another and I think they had the closest relationship out of the whole family.
