John Fitzgerald Kennedy was born in Brookline, Massachusetts on May 29, 1917. He graduated from Harvard in 1940 and then entered the Navy. He’s a Roman Catholic and also a democratic. He grew up in a rich family with eight siblings and enjoyed a privileged childhood. As a child, he had many health problems, but he realized that a youthful, vigorous imagine contributed to his appeal. He volunteered for hazardous combat duty in the Pacific during World War II. Kennedy wartime service made him a hero. When his PT boat was rammed in two during a night, he rescued his entire crew. But his older brother Joe was killed in action, who dreamed of becoming President one day inspired JFK into presidency. In 1956, Kennedy almost gained the Democratic nomination for Vice President, four years later he was the first ballot nominee for President. He won the election in 1960, challenging Richard Nixon on nationally television debate. Nixon wore a light colored suit, refused make-up and looked tired and tense.
