Media violence is basically just a child seeing something on T. ... The shows that are on today vary from news, persuading us to buy a certain product, to providing programs that depict violence. ...
Over 1,000 case studies have proven that media violence can have negative effects on children also. Media violence increases aggressive behavior, makes them less sensitive to violence and victims of violence, it can also lead to a craving for more violence in entertainment and real life. Media violence is especially hard on younger children, especially ages through 8, because they cant tell the difference between what is fantasy and what is real life. ... It’s rare even to find a cartoon that doesn’t have some type of violence in it.
