Indian Reservations System Compare and Contrast Paper
In doing research of many tribes and how their reservation systems work, it is hard to not realize that they are all very similar to each other and in the way they work. In this paper you will read and understand the differences and similarities of the Native American Reservation System from the 1800s to the early 1900s to the reservations that exist today.
Since this paper is on the same subject you may think that the differences are going to be less than the similarities. ... Over time the early reservations have gone through a lot of trials and hardships to become the reservations system we have today. Reservations from the 1800s to the 1900s until now are completely different from what they used to be. ... But more importantly the reservations in the 1800s and the 1900s were known for having inner peace and harmony within themselves and their tribe. Where as the reservations today the Indians are not so focused on their inner peace, spirit, and harmony. ... The government is a very important and complex subject in today’s reservations. Instead of having one chief in charge of the whole tribe, today’s reservations would have many people on the tribal council.
