Forgiveness Although the topic of ‘forgiveness’ is not common in everyday conversation or perhaps in our conscious everyday thoughts, the subject matter is worth considering on different levels. For instance, ‘forgiveness’ can be appraised on an emotional level, a spiritual level or a purely physical level. For the sake of clarity, we will consider forgiveness as a personal and present challenge, which is “accepting responsibility for your life; releasing blame and the judgment of others”. ... ‘Forgiveness’ is part of the healing. ... It requires that you acknowledge and accept that any act of forgiveness primarily gains personal benefit. ... Personal power is initiated and then develops further as you recognize and then internalize the reality, which is, that it is in your best interest to forgive and to accept forgiveness. From there, you can more simply acknowledge that the benefit of forgiveness is specifically yours. ... Forgiveness is your gift to yourself – from yourself. ... The issues that seem to defy forgiveness are always aligned in some way with love: the love you never received, the love that you offered and others rejected or betrayed, the love that was used to manipulate you to act out in ways that were to your own best interests and/or to the best interest of some other. ... If you are following this process, it becomes evident that forgiveness is the only kind rationale and important decision you can make if you have any notion of moving into a place of success, joy and resolution of your destiny.
