How Fair is Our Justice System

... Their main idea, to sentence criminal to death, is to prove that the law brings justice to the victim and its survivors from the immoral act of a criminal. We all know, laws are made to bring justice to society and its individuals. However, does our justice system acknowledge the fact that criminals are not born as criminals but our very society is most of the times responsible for creating circumstances in which crimes such as killing, murder, take place. Then why sometimes our justice system fails to respond to the factors in which a person makes this horrible, ugly act to another person. The United States justice system is known to be one of the fairest systems around the world but how many times we hear that the criminal was punished and sentenced to death but justice was not done. ... Koch in his essay “Death and Justice” supports the idea by saying “Human life deserves special attention, and one of the best ways to guarantee that protection is to assure that convicted murderers do not kill again.
