Other skills would include asking the right questions in the right manner and trying not to sound formal but at the same time being professional For referral I feel that one must have a good general knowledge of the facilities and services that are available in and around the community. ... 1. ... Describe three elements of effective community leadership Traditionally leadership was about authority and fear. Where someone at the top of the hierarchy, someone superior lead his people into what he wanted and thought would be better for the community. However leadership in the community should be about having an idea and bringing the people along with you and asking for their support, for what they want. ... 1. ... Three elements of effective community leadership are maximising opportunities for neighbourhood, community, group and individual renewal. Basically being highly skilled in finding funding, resources, workers, time and bringing it in to enable people to become active in their community. Effective links with the “outside world”, an effective community leader needs to work with senior people outside their own community to enable more opportunities to come their way!
