Analysis of The Lamb

On the surface, William Blake seems to use “The Lamb” to send a religious message to the people around him. “The Lamb” seems like a symbol for the people living at the time who may have forgotten who created them and gave them the things needed to survive. ... He alludes to the New Testament in which Jesus is compared to a meek, mild, and innocent lamb. “The Lamb” seems to be a religious poem, used to teach someone about God.
