A coach is vital to a performers ability and skill level as the coach is the main source for helping a performer improve in their sport. Insight learning is considered a main factor in the development of skill learning. There are many factors within insight learning such as rewards, reinforcement and punishement.
For a coach to use insight learning her must realise how to use it, as in he must know which factor would help his performer and which factors would not. If we look at rewards to start with if a coach offered a 7 year old a chocolate bar for playing well in a game or during practise he would take it feeling really happy but if a coach gave an adult a chocolate bar it would mean nothing to him, as he would rather prefer a pay bonus.
