... our society, becoming more essential to our economy’s health. Even within female-dominated occupations, women generally earn less than men. That is very unfair to women and I think the government needs to do something about it. I definitely believe that an individual shouldn’t get discriminated against just because of their gender. Employer shouldn’t care about one’s gender before hiring them. If an individual got what it takes to held a particular job, then gender shouldn’t be an issue. I believe that there are jobs out in the workforce that consist of hard labor and would be hard for a female to do; it’s understandable and acceptable to our society but at the same time they should at least be given a chance to work. It even worst when you are a minority woman in the workforce. If an African American and a Caucasian woman with the same qualifications and degrees apply for the same job, it is more than likely for the Caucasian female to get hired over the African American women. Women of color have lower wages, are poorer and are more likely to be unemployed than the average non-Hispani...
