Every year thousands of Hispanics wanting to partake in the riches of what they see as the land of opportunity enter the United States. ... Unlike these immigrants, we have not been subjected to many of the hardships that they have had to endure.
Hardships such as poverty, poor living conditions, lack of industries, religious persecution, stern governments, and unstable economies are all contributing factors that encourage thousands of people to migrate to “el norte” in hope of starting a new life. ... 6 Because of that threat, many Hispanics set out for “el norte”. ...
