... me. She was yelling at me for talking to my mother. I told her that it was my mother and she yelled I don’t care who it is. So when we go there to go shopping, which is not very often. It always brings back bad memories. Of the time that I had there and all the friends I had made. The friends I had made and the fun times we had together, starts getting depressing after a while. The good thing about it is that when I go there I know people. It makes it alot easier to start a conversation with someone I know a little about than someone I don’t. During the story Sammy said, “Looking back in the big windows, over the bags of peat moss and aluminum lawn furniture stacked on the pavement” (Pg. 271). That brings back memories when I go into the Garden Center. The first thing I see is the flowers in the flats and the ponds with the running water. The lawn mowers and the bags of dirt are there too. It all brings back memories about the good times and bad times I had at working there. Needless to say I quit Meijer’s after I turned 17 because they didn’t treat people very well.
