...’s bad guy boyfriend And Carries mom-Margaret White- who is a Christian that takes it way to far, she shelters Carrie from life letting her do nothing but sit in her closet and pray for forgiveness for doing nothing. One day after the whole locker room incident Sue Snell felt guilty for her actions and decided to try and do something nice for Carrie. Knowing that Carrie liked her boyfriend Tommy Ross she asked him to ask her to the prom. Because he loves Sue he agrees and when he asked Carrie she off course said yes. When Carrie went home to tell her mom it took her using her powers to get her mom off her back but finally just said that she was going, and she did just that. Carrie opened up that night and had a lot of fun; she turned from an ugly duckling to a swan. She wore makeup and combed her hair; she wore fabric other than wool and cotton. Things were great for her. But of course in every story there is a falling action and that is when Chris comes into the picture. The whole locker room incident caused Chris not to be able to go to prom because of the cruel things she did to Carrie. This upset Chris and made her feel like she had to pay her back. Knowing that Sue had asked Tommy to take Carrie to the prom she decided to play a little prank on Carrie that would not be so little. Carrie and Tommy were crowned prom queen and king and while up accepting there crown Billy Nolan and Chris dumped a bucket of pigs blood on Carrie. This made her go mad. Carrie started throwing things with her mind and killing anything and everyone in her way. The prom night ended up being a blood bath! All of this was done using her powers. Now, I am not going to give any more away but all the dramatic events that occurred in her life led up to this one huge incident that made one misunderstood girl go insane. People are trying to ban this book because it includes sexual content, bad language, and witchcraft. “She unsnapped her heavy cotton bra and let it fall. Here breasts were milky-white, upright and smooth.” This is an example of some of the sexual content and then there is the bad language, which I gave an example of that in the first sentence of my speech, but here is another example “Frieda’s eyes open in unaffected surprise. ”No SHIT!”” and last there is the whole witchcraft thing a good example of this takes place at the prom “ The lobby doors all slammed shut” this was done by Carrie through her powers.
