Another key person in the revolution was Thomas Paine who wrote a pamphlet titled Common Sense, which attacked King George and the Monarchy. At first the colonists were under Great Britain’s rule and they later rebelled and fought against the British later becoming free from their rule. After this happened the Declaration of Independence was signed to give the colonists their rights and freedoms making the U.S. what it is today. 3. Response 3: (Chapter 2; “The Living Constitution”) The U.S. Constitution was very unique and important to world history and the United States because it helped us form a more perfect union, establishing justice and insured domestic tranquility all this helped Americans come together as a nation and grow strong without fear of other nations. This document is so significant because without it the U.S. would not be what it is today, a free country that has liberty and justice for all. By doing this it makes the country different from others in the sense that the citizens will have a strong patriotic pride for their nation, which is very important. The constitution is needed so that the U.S. doesn’t end up like it did originally under rule and have no freedoms.
