... is writing about how man doesn’t like change. If a man was in a cave with a fire for light and saw the fire as sun and could only see shadows he would prefer that work over the world of reality. To that man that world is reality. They believed that the man who came into the cave was blind because he could not see after being in the sun. I think that the men in the cave that were chained up were idiots. The way I interpreted the story is that they would rather be in the cave locked up then out in the worked of reality. They were scared of anything else. One thing that I didn’t like about Plates writing was the way he took way too long to say what he wanted to get across.
