...ever, forcing or convincing someone to believe in something they do not follow is wrong. Last I knew this was an amendment, a right that we as the people have and can act on it as we please. This brings me to something else I have been against for a while with Bush as president. Freedom of speech is a wonderful right. It gives some power back to the people but for some odd reason Bush takes it upon himself to justify and judge how we use this right. As human beings and U.S. citizens we can have our own opinion. When a 22-year-old college student hangs a poster of President Bush with a X through his face and the poster reads “Bush is a Loser” this is a way to act on this right. Now Bush heirs word of this and the young man is placed under arrest I find this irritating and wrong. Not only is Bush acting out on young minds who have the right to say and show their speech in any way they see fit he is trying to chop down certain media who disagrees with him and his views. Howard Stern repeats how much he hates President Bush on a national radio station. Even though for the 2000 election Stern donated over 5,000 dollars to Bush’s campaign. After being elected he throws the S.P.C.A. on Stern.
