...n address before the “shock and awe” operation he concocted, President Bush told Americans and the rest of the world that Saddam Hussein was associated with Al Qaeda, he had weapons of mass destruction and that he was a chief threat. Saddam Hussein might have exercised vindictive authoritarian against his own people but that was the extent of it. What’s even more astounding then President Bush lying before the 9/11 Commission’s report came out is that he is still frolicking around the Bible Belt claiming Iraq was a threat to us. Also, in a feeble effort to appeal to college students, he is now saying we were morally obligated to “save” the Iraqis from their “evil doer” of a dictator. What’s next, Cuba? I will not be a tool of destruction for George and Dick and their oil market. The president would deem me unpatriotic for such sentiments. I support the military. I’m proud of our soldiers. I’m against the Commander in Chief that is steering this army any which way he wants, like a child in a candy store. I’m grateful for the service men and women who have died in his little war. But, I will not fight for a cause that is nonexistent and a reason that is utterly false. America is not giving the Iraqis any rights. We’re not even letting them decide what kind of government they want. We’re imposing a form of government of our satisfaction, n...
