Hate Crime Legislation: It?s Nothing Personal?
Within the human mind there exists a vast number of impulses and emotions, love and hate are two examples. Few people would deny that hate exists on virtually every level of human endeavors. Hate has risen from Ministers, leaders of nations, as well as children from all walks of life. ... I hate? ... Hate is an emotion that can compel nations to war, drive neighbors to gun battles, and inspire children to name-calling. Many people have been victims of assaults and other crimes simply because a strong sense of hate has motivated an individual or individuals into perverse actions. Within the last twenty years this particular criminal tendency has given rise to the term, hate crimes. A hate crime is defined as
