The Appearance of Justice
...e question of justice can be answered, we must first understand where justice is derived from. Justice comes from morality, and morality comes from ones own desired not suffer. From this desire arose an un-formal agreement between people, more or less stating that if ‘you don’t injustice me, I won’t injustice you.’ From this very simple understanding laws were written and sins were created. Since it is profitable for both parties not to suffer injustice this logic still holds true today. With a basic understanding of justice and where it arose from now we can tackle the big issue. If there were no consinquin for acting unjust and no rewards for acting justly would there still be such a thing as justice. Socrates, believes that there is a desire to be just not matter the conquentions or rewards. He states the in order to be truly happy not only with those around you but with yourself as well, u must always be out true justice. Being just merely for the appearance of justice cannot satisfy ones own personal desire for justice. It is human nature on the other hand...
