The front door faces the busy street of Gorwell it is wood with a heavy wood bar across the middle to lock it, an inconvenience these days. It is more practical to use the side entrance, which was later added on. As you walk through this side door you immediately face the only bathroom, built in the mid 90’s. Before that, all of the previous owners had used an outhouse. To your right is a door hiding the water heater and to your left you see a wood staircase and a hallway leading to the rest of the downstairs rooms. If you continue down the tiled hall you will come to a room on your left. This room was originally were they baked the bread. This is a simple small room with a huge fireplace. When you look up towards the ceiling you see a long thick wooded bar connecting vertically from one wall to another. That is where they use to hang the bread when they put it up for sale. There are two windows, one faces the back, and the other, which is larger faces the street. The larger window was where they would sell the bread. As you continue down the hallway it will lead you into the living room, a painted paneled room, carpeted with one window and another fireplace. This is connected to a long dinning room. Originally the house ended here, but when it was renovated the stable was connected to the house and converted to a kitchen, a beautiful modern edition to the house. The floor is tiled with Chinese slate; two of the tiles have fossils of fish. All of the appliances are black, the cabinets are a tan wood with many counter space and porcelain sinks. The final room at the back of the kitchen is the laundry room, which also has sinks, plenty of counter space and even enough room to iron comfortably in.
