...ce, I passed through my first hard competition in middle school and even succeeded in the provincial and national contests. I even won the first prize in the National English Contest as a high school student. Still armed with amazing confidence, I have exerted all of my powers to study business and computer science in the college. I read volumes of business magazines such as FORTUNE and books about information technology, like Business Process Management by Howard Smith and Peter Fingar. I buried myself in the library just like a duck in water. During this process, difficulties and challenges often surrounded me, but I refused to buckle under pressure and worked on with diligence. My gift in mathematics and memory did not betray me. So did my hard-work and my confidence. During my four years of undergraduate study, I always ranked among the top 40 students. I received the major award six times for my excellent academic record and performance in college. In fact, what I cared about most was that I mastered some advanced theories and applied technologies such as programming languages (C, VB, C++) and SQL Databases. In the course of preparing my application materials, I am continuing to self-teach myself in the JAVA language. As pointed out by many experts, the most promising electronic commerce market is growing up in China. The future of China will need experts with advanced skills of information technology management. And I hope, in that future, I could contribute to or even lead the development of the market reformation. In fact, all that I have done during my college years has furthered my understanding, my responsibility to my country, and my admiration towards information technology management. In the past, I have developed an on-line bookstore using ASP (Active Server Pages) as my graduation project with classmates. I have worked in a company in the Scientific & Technological Market of Jinan as a summer internship. I have also been responsible for the maintenance of a database for all local primary and secondary schools in my hometown. In my graduation project, I took great responsibilities as a leader and established my team’s spirit gradually. In the company, I got many hands-on experiences with both computer hardware and software and experienced the boom of the information technology market. In my hometown, I put forward some helpful suggestions which greatly improved the efficiency of the database. Yet, there is still long way for me to go. My employment, as a computer administrator assistant in the Network Administrative Center of our department, sharpened my ability in troubleshooting and my responsibility within a job.
