Ifill ask, “What can your administration do to better the lives of those who are less fortunate?” Cheney said, “We have to provide good jobs, deal with tax policies, reduce the litigation costs, provide adequate medical care and create the opportunities that are vital to the process.” Cheney also thinks the place to start is in education. He feels the better educated our children are, the better our society will be. I have to agree. Edwards on the other hand using data from 2003 feels like millions of people have lost their jobs, fallen into poverty, their income has went down and prices have went up. He feels the only way to solve this problem is to get rid of tax cuts for companies going overseas, balance the budget, get back to fiscal responsibility and invest in the creative, innovative jobs of the future. Ifill asked, “What is your opinion of same-sex unions?” Cheney answered, “I believe freedom means freedom for everybody, but the president sets the policy for this administration, and I support his decision.” ...
