Volunteering is always greatly appreciated and a great way to spend an afternoon. People who volunteer usually feel really good about themselves for helping out. It can give you a sense of well-being and achievement. You’re probably thinking “Oh, I’ve got better things to do” or “I’m to busy”, but volunteering can have very flexible hours and unlike work you’re not obligated to go all the time. Think of all the things your family, friends, and teachers do for you and how good it makes you feel. Well wouldn’t you love to make somebody else feel that way? You can make an elderly persons say just by talking to them for fifteen minutes, or you can provide a single parents with extra money to feed her children by volunteering to babysit so she won’t have to pay a sitter. These small deeds can mean so much. Volunteering can really prepare you for your future. It can give you a glimpse of the work force and prepare you for what’s in store.
