Having a date strip where the kids come in and write the date will help them to learn the days of the month. I would have a thermometer so that they could tell temperature. Counting strips would be located on the bulletin board each day to help the students count by numbers. Some things to help organize and keep track of the things needed to help with problems and equations would be stored in crates. The crates would include color tiles, place value blocks, rulers, fraction bar strips, popsicle sticks, bingo cards, flash cards, and calculators for the students to use to help them work a problem. I would also want a sink in my classroom so that we could use for washing hands but also for measurements of a cup, pint, quart, gallon and half gallon. I would also need a measuring cup. There are many activities that you could do to help the students to learn their multiples better. Having a rap to multiples, such as a sing a long song to their multiplication problems could help them to learn better. I would have a box at the front of the room with different equations on note cards for the students to work. Every morning I would make my students pull a note card out of the box with out looking and work the problem that was on the note card they pulled. I would change out the problems every morning so that the cards in the box would go along with the math section we are working on. I would put problems from their homework that I assigned to them from the night before on the note cards.
