This year ‘went off’ according to members of the audience; Australian bands like Silverchair, Greenday and 1200 Techniques rocked the stage. American band Grinspoon and rap group Cyprus hill had fans admiring their talents. Then there was the less known performers like jack Johnson playing his acoustic jazz and ‘nick skitz’ mixing up some beats. “THE BIG DAY OUT” arrived in Brisbane on the 22nd of November and before they had opened ticket sales there were people lined up in tents who had waited for two and three days to guarantee their position at the event, at 90 dollars it wasn’t the cheapest either. “THE BIG DAY OUT” was originally from the U.S, when Australia secured a national tour the reaction was mixed. People were complaining about fights and drunken people near the event, but overall the response was go, go, go. The security at the event was phenomenal; it was one of the biggest Australian security efforts since the 1956 Olympics Games ...
