... not what someone else had in plan for him! President Kennedy boarded Air Force One from Fort Worth for a thirteen minute flight to Love Field. Once He and his wife arrived, crowds cheered as they walked out of the plane all smiles, waving to the support of everyone there to welcome them. JFK and his wife then got into their convertible escort that would drive them to Dealey Plaza, and then on to a luncheon being held that afternoon. This is where the trouble began. Little did they know that the car the president and his wife ride in would turn out to be the death trap for one of the greatest leaders of American History. Five minutes to 1:00 pm, the vehicle got rolling away from the runway. Thirty-four minutes later the car turned off Houston, onto main, and then into the kill zone. There were a number of shots fired. People ran for cover as the bullets flew. Kennedy was struck from above and from the rear. A couple of the bullets missed the car completely, leaving others with minor injuries. Then there was the last shot that struck the president from the front, blowing the back of his head out. The bullet used was a thirty eight caliber missile that explodes on impact, leaving victims seriously wounded! JFK was rushed to Parkland Memorial Hospital and later pronounced dead at 2:00 pm by Kemp Clark. There are many theories and stories that have been told to the public. The first theory that enters everyone’s mind when the murder comes up consists of Lee Harvey Oswald and the “magic bullet”.
