Even though Odie is stupid, and even though Garfield will seldom admit it, Odie is Garfield’s best friend. When Garfield met Odie on August 8, 1978, he probably thought, “What did I do to deserve this?” Jon Arbuckle (the human) was supposed to have been born on December 23, 1950. He is 52 and still looking for a date! It’s probably because of his unusual passtimes. Here are some of the things he likes: collecting earwax, collecting lint, videotaping his sock drawer, he enjoys breathing and watches the show ‘Bowling for Geeks.’ As you can see, Jon Arbuckle is a very weird and strange person.
