Violating the "Norms"
...fter he got through to whoever he was calling he would switch over and start chatting away like nothing was going on. Mike would continue to talk until the last possible second but when the subjects started to get angry he would give back the phone. Mike chose six different subjects for his experiment, four of which were in their early twenties. Of those four, three of them were females and from PCT and the other one was a male from Williamsport. The other two were older, a man in his late thirties and a woman in her fifties. The first four subjects we talked to acted almost the same way. After they figured out that Mike was talking to an old friend instead of calling someone for an emergency they started asking for the phone back but Mike tried to hold out as long as he could. After a minute or so with each subject becoming more and more irritated asking for their phone back Mike gave in and told them that it was a school project.
