My writing autobiography: A writing life (My evolution as a writer)

A good writing for me is one who accomplished with some aspects like having an excellent grammar, syntax, a coherent content, the message is clearly exposed, accomplish with the structure that correspond. For example, in case of an essay, it will have the introduction, the thesis statement, the body and the closing or conclusion. Another aspects that we have to consider is the audience that will read the writing, the organization and the vocabulary that we use. I have to be honest. Writing in English, -that is my second language- is a little bit difficult for me, because Spanish is my native language and I don’t have any English class since two years ago. For those reasons, I enjoy writing in Spanish more than in English. In my native language I wrote a lot of things. Essays, oratories, short stories, poems, articles for school newspaper and as a Spanish teacher I like to write them and correct them. I’m very demanding with the grammar, the content of the work and the organization, if accomplish with the structure of the genre that I’m writing. When I have to do a writing paper I do some things, like a ritual for me. First, I have to be in a peaceful place, especially my bedroom, alone. Then, I do a Brainstorming process that takes me five or ten minutes. After that, I do a free writing process to see all the ideas that I have about that topic. Before that, I see the topic, and if I don’t know much about it, I do a research in the library and the internet to have information to do the writing. If the work is free topic, I will choose a topic depending how I feel in that moment. The essential materials that I use when I write in English are my dictionary Spanish-English/English-Spanish, my Roget’s Thesaurus, my computer and a lot of papers and pencils. When I’m writing in Spanish is different, because I write directly on the computer. As soon as I finish my work, I read it carefully, auto evaluate it, check the grammar, the context.
