...whole needs to start making changes before we self-destruct. He also raps about the tougher things in life, while still keeping positive songs in the mix such as “Dear Mama” and “I Aint Mad At Ya.” This demonstrates that 2pac can have a totally different rapping style from one song to the next, which is probably the thing I like most about him and it makes it very hard to get bored with his music, or play out any of his songs. “Hybrid Theory” by Linkin Park is a CD that revolutionalized rock music in a way. The band has a very unique sound which is a mix of metal, pop, rock, rap, and electronic influences. The lead singer of the band is capable of singing very emotional, angry lyrics which are often about broken relationships, which almost everyone can relate to. Also every riff, every lyric, and every scream is perfectly placed and on-point, which makes the album feel polished and almost perfect. The songs “Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis” and “ Sic Transit Gloria…Glory Fades” describe events of getting drunk and hooking up with someone. In “Me vs. Maradona vs. Elvis” the lead singer says, “Who will cast the first stone, you can sin or spend the night all alone” and in “Sic Transit Gloria…Glory Fades” the chants of “die young and save yourself” refers to avoiding the pain of committing adultry and lacking a true love. Its subtle lines like these that make this album more interesting than most. The songs are very well written and have very well organized bass, guitar, and lyrics which make the CD very easy to listen too. “Illmatic” by Nas is considered to be one of the greatest hip hop albums of my generation, if not the greatest. The lyrics on this album are amazing and describe life on the streets as Nas saw it growing up in Queensbridge, New York. That was one of Nas' great strengths, his ability to convey the reality of ghetto life without forgetting the good times that he had, considering that any day could be his last. That’s what sets this album apart from most other rap albums because most of his rhymes tell a story, they don't just flaunt the ice and custom cars he owns. It combines everything needed to make a classic hip hop album with jazzy melodies, gritty snare drum beats, thundering base...
